Renting with White Letting –
everything you need to know.

This page is for both current and prospective tenants of White Letting. Here you will find useful information on all aspects of living in our rented accommodation. 

White Letting has a great reputation for looking after the needs of both tenants and landlords with a trouble-free agreement that ensures all our tenants are happy in their home.

At White Letting we provide a selection of well maintained furnished and unfurnished properties of varying sizes and budgets, ranging from studio flats from as little as £175 per calendar month (pcm) up to five bedroom homes from £750 pcm.

Communication with tenants 

We will communicate clearly and promptly with you on any matter that affects your property and its management.


We practice equal opportunities. We do not treat any person or group any less favourably because of race, colour, ethnic origin, sex, disability or sexual orientation when letting or managing property.


At the outset of the tenancy, we will advise you in writing of the way that any complaints should be registered. We will keep a record of any complaints and the outcome of any complaints.


We will seek to resolve any dispute involving you or the property, including neighbour disputes, promptly and lawfully. 

Management of the Tenancy

We have registered with the local authority Private Landlord Registration Scheme and therefore meet the requirements of that scheme.

Pre-Letting Procedures

We will not charge you a fee for the drawing up or copying of the tenancy agreement, or any referencing feeWe provide any new tenant with a copy of a completed Tenant Information Pack (TIP).

The Tenancy Agreement

When we let a property on an Assured or Private Residential Tenancy Agreement basis (or other tenancy where applicable) you will be given a written tenancy agreement setting out the terms of the Let and any relevant notices, notice periods which will be required and the responsibilities of the landlord and you in relation to payment of rent, bills repairs and behaviour. The name of the landlord is stated on the tenancy agreement. We confirm that in all cases tenancy agreements are properly executed by the signatures of the landlord and tenant.

Rent and Other Charges

We charge a reasonable rent, taking into account the size and condition of the property. We provide receipts for rental payments, except when payments are received electronically or by direct debit/standing order.


Would you like to rent from White Letting?

As a tenant candidate you will be asked to complete an applicant form and credit search request. Prior to offering you a tenancy in one of our properties, we will require: 
• A current employment reference;
• A previous employment reference (if your current ID is less than six months);
• A previous landlord’s reference (if applicable);
• Subject to acceptance, you will require a deposit equal to one month’s rent; one month’s rent in advance..

Should you ever have any problems or concerns, please contact our office as soon as possible. Problems may include paying your rent, concerns about neighbours or other residents, problems within your property or even with your neighbourhood. With many years of experience behind us, nothing surprises us and we are always happy to help in any way that we can. 

Should you ever feel disappointed or unhappy with our service, please write directly to our office addressing your letter for the attention of the Manager, Lisa White. We often find that many problems can be resolved and even avoided by good communication.
